Nancy S. Riegle, SHRM-CP is Chief Inclusion & People Strategy Officer at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). Since joining the NAM in January 2012, she is responsible for leading the HR functions of the NAM working closely with senior management as a strategic partner to facilitate the alignment of the NAM’s people with the business goals and strategic objectives of the association. She is also responsible for the office administration of the NAM’s state of the art facilities in Washington, DC. Ms. Riegle is responsible for balancing the business realities with the needs of employees while initiating and developing programs that foster teamwork, initiative, and collaboration. In keeping with the NAM mission and values, she is responsible for working throughout the association to recruit and retain the best people, refine and define best practices and policies, and assist management in maintaining a competitive edge within the surrounding business environment.

As the NAM is a leading and respected advocate for American manufacturing, so too does the NAM endeavor to be an innovative and trusted association for its staff. Ms. Riegle is responsible for working with senior management efforts to continually assess the organizational culture and for developing creative and inspiring programs to support the desired values of the association. In her role, providing opportunities for the employees to bond and have fun is integral to building the spirit of a successful association-wide team. As the NAM works for continual improvement, Ms. Riegle is responsible for providing platforms and programs that expand the employees’ knowledge and skill sets, as well as developing programs that recognize and reward outstanding results.

Ms. Riegle has her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She has a masters in human resources development from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Nancy is an active volunteer leader in the Northern Virginia Society for Human Resources Management where she currently holds the position of Treasurer.

Nancy and her husband Greg Riegle, an attorney at McGuire Woods, LLP currently live in Clarendon, VA, and have two grown sons, David, a recent graduate of James Madison University, and Kyle, a graduate of George Mason University.
