Irene Nilsson Carlsson

Irene Nilsson Carlsson is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in advisory roles. Currently serving as a Folkhälsoråd and Senior public health adviser at Socialstyrelsen since May 2016, Irene has previously held the position of Styrelseledamot at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control from 2005 to 2012. Irene also contributed to public policy as a Departementsråd at Regeringskansliet, Socialdepartementet, from July 2000 to January 2011. Irene holds an academic background from the University of Gothenburg.
