Sofia Boman

Sofia Boman has extensive experience in the field of psychology, currently serving as Institutionschef at Statens institutionsstyrelse since August 2020, with prior roles including Tillförordnad Institutionschef, Biträdande institutionschef, and Avdelningsföreståndare. From March 2013 to July 2020, Sofia worked as a psychologist at Kriminalvården and also provided psychological services to clients in Göteborgs Stad from August 2014 to December 2017, focusing on intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy for young men. Additionally, Sofia operated a private practice offering supervision to treatment staff in youth care from January 2014 to December 2016 and began professional training as a PTP-psykolog at Beroendemottagning Kviberg within Västra Götalandsregionen from August 2011 to January 2013. Sofia holds several qualifications, including a Specialist degree in Forensic Psychology obtained from Psykologförbundet and comprehensive education in social work and psychology from the University of Gothenburg.
