Josh Rodriguez

Intermountain Program Manager at National Forest Foundation

Josh Rodriguez has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental consulting, remote sensing, and wildland firefighting. Josh worked as an Intermountain Program Manager for the National Forest Foundation starting from 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Tetra Tech from 2008 to 2023 as an Ecologist/Environmental Consultant, where they provided consulting services for private industry and public land management agencies. Their responsibilities included wetland delineations, vegetation surveys, forest stand surveys, NEPA support, and GIS support for environmental consulting projects.

Before joining Tetra Tech, Josh worked at the National Center for Landscape Fire Analysis from 2002 to 2008 as a Remote Sensing Image Analyst. During this time, they served as a co-principal investigator and focused on mapping and measuring geothermal features in Yellowstone National Park using thermal remote sensing. Josh also worked as a principal investigator on a project quantifying the patch size distribution of post-fire landscapes in the northern Rocky Mountains.

Josh's work experience also includes a role as a Wildland Firefighter for the US Forest Service from 1999 to 2001.

Josh Rodriguez obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from the University of Montana in 2001. Josh later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forestry from the same university, completing their studies in 2005.
