Eleni Sakellis

Eleni Sakellis is an experienced journalist and freelance writer, currently contributing to Ethnikos Kirikas & The National Herald Inc. since September 2015, focusing on books, food, arts and culture, and community topics. As a self-employed freelance writer and artist since January 2004, Sakellis has authored seven novels, several plays, and screenplays, including an epic about the Greek War of Independence. Previous roles include serving as NY Books Examiner for Examiner.com, where articles and author interviews were conducted, and as a contributor to AXS.com, covering New York City experiences. Additional experience includes a position as Development Associate at Bond Street Theatre, focusing on grant writing and arts administration, and working as a Production Assistant at BoonDocs Film and Video. Sakellis holds a Master’s degree in Performance Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Literature, Theatre History, and Cinema from New York University.
