Neil Edward Axel

Neil Edward Axel is an experienced legal professional serving as an Associate Judge and Senior Judge at the District Court of Maryland since February 1997, specializing in criminal misdemeanors, traffic offenses, domestic violence, landlord-tenant matters, and civil actions involving lesser amounts. Axel has contributed to various judicial organizations, including serving as a member and co-chair of the Judicial Inquiry Board and the Maryland Judicial Conference Committee on Problem Solving Courts. Additionally, Axel has been involved with the National Judicial College as a member of the Faculty Council and has served multiple roles with the American Bar Association, including as an ABA Judicial Fellow, focusing on impaired driving issues, and as a Judicial Outreach Liaison.
