Shannon Darrough

Shannon Darrough is a seasoned digital media professional with extensive experience in the cultural sector. Currently serving as Senior Advisor for Digital at Nasjonalmuseet for kunst, arkitektur og design since September 2023, Shannon previously held the role of Director of Digital Media at The Museum of Modern Art from October 2003 to May 2021. In this position, Shannon oversaw the strategy and execution of digital products and led an award-winning team, enhancing visitor experiences and advancing the museum's digital initiatives. Earlier career roles included Senior Media Developer at The Museum of Modern Art, where Shannon managed core digital projects, and roles as a Freelance Art Director/Designer and Interactive Designer at various firms. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has studied at Central Saint Martins and California College of the Arts.
