Sarah Cowie

Sarah Cowie currently serves as the Senior Heritage Learning Advisor at the National Trust for Scotland, a position held since May 2022, where leadership is provided in learning initiatives across the organization. Sarah also participates as a Trustee for GEM (Group for Education in Museums) since September 2018. Previously, Sarah worked at National Museums Scotland from April 2014 to May 2022, first as Engagement Manager, overseeing educational programming, and later as Learning Officer for Schools. Earlier roles include Museums Education Officer at East Lothian Council and Learning Assistant at Glasgow Life. Sarah began the career at National Museums of Scotland as a Visitor Services Assistant. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Glasgow.
