Emily Vuxton is an accomplished environmental policy expert with significant experience in advocacy and project management. Currently serving as the Director of External Affairs at The Nature Conservancy, Emily previously held the position of Policy Director at the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, where Emily developed and implemented impactful policy programs. Prior roles include a Coastal Policy Specialist and Assistant Project Manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where Emily contributed to resilience initiatives and international navigation projects. Emily's earlier career involved technical editing for scientific manuscripts, project management in environmental research, and communication roles with organizations such as the National Park Service and USDA Forest Service. Emily holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Florida, graduating summa cum laude.
