Michael Case

Senior Forest Scientist

Michael Case currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Western Washington University, teaching a graduate course in restoration ecology and climate change. In addition, Michael is a Forest Ecologist with The Nature Conservancy in Washington State, focusing on building climate resilience and developing equitable conservation strategies. Michael's extensive experience includes roles as an Independent Consultant, Adjunct Faculty at The Evergreen State College, and various positions at the University of Washington and WWF, where Michael led climate change research and vulnerability assessments. Michael holds a PhD in Forest Ecology and Climate Change and a Master's degree in Ecosystem Analysis from the University of Washington, along with a Bachelor's degree in Forestry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
