Peter Werner

Peter Werner is an experienced maritime professional with a diverse background in training, consulting, and management. Currently serving as a Course Facilitator at The Nautical Institute since October 2022, Peter specializes in maritime incident investigation and designated person ashore courses. As a Senior Trainer at DNV since 2016, Peter conducts various ISO standards courses and maritime management training. Additionally, Peter has been a Senior Consultant at MARORG since October 1997, focusing on the development and implementation of management systems for shipping companies worldwide. Peter held the position of Managing Director at C3 Technologies GmbH from 2010 to 2015 and served as Chief Quality Officer/Chief Operating Officer at InnoVida Holdings Inc. from 2007 to 2008. Early career experiences include project management roles at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and navigational officer positions on cruise vessels. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Ship Management from Universität Rostock, obtained in 1992.
