Ann Houston is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in housing and community development. Currently serving as semi-retired adjunct faculty at Boston College since September 2023, Houston also holds several leadership positions, including Chair of the Newton Affordable Housing Trust and Member of the Newton Housing Partnership. Prior significant roles include Chief Executive Officer of Opportunity Communities, LLC, and Executive Director of The Neighborhood Developers. Houston has been actively involved in various boards and committees, including the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation and NeighborWorks America. Houston's educational background includes a Master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Center for Real Estate, alongside studies at UMass Boston, Grinnell College, and Harvard SPNM.

We, The Neighborhood Developers (TND), promote economic diversity, opportunity, and quality of life in the communities of Chelsea, Revere, and Everett. Our work strives to create affordable, welcoming communities for generations to come. We are a community development organization and we choose to put the emphasis on COMMUNITY. To create equitable change, we utilize our vision, resources, and most importantly - community voices, leadership, and action! We are committed to comprehensive, resident-led community development of neighborhoods in our communities. Our mission is to create strong neighborhoods enabling community members to secure a stable home, achieve economic mobility, and determine their own future.
