Pepijn van Houwelingen

Pepijn Van Houwelingen is a seasoned researcher at the Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau, with a tenure beginning in February 2010. Prior to this role, Pepijn worked as a demand and supply management professional at Canon Europe Ltd. from August 2009 to February 2010. Pepijn holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Capital in Japan from Hiroshima City University, obtained from 2005 to 2009, alongside a Japanese course at Hiroshima University in 2004-2005. Earlier educational achievements include Modern Japanese Studies with a focus on Economics and Business in Pacific Asia and Philosophy of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam (2002-2004), and Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Logistics from the University of Twente (1998-2002).
