Johan van Looy

Johan Van Looy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic consulting and management. Currently serving as a Managing Consultant at The New Drive since November 2020 and as the Owner of SmartXChange Consulting Services since April 2020, Johan has previously held significant positions such as Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director for De Lijn from April 2013 to April 2020. Johan's board memberships include roles at Blue-bike and cambio Autodelen Vlaanderen from December 2018 to March 2020, as well as STIB-MIVB and the Port of Brussels from September 2009 to March 2013. Johan also contributed as Chief of Staff in the Cabinet of the Minister of Public Works and Transport for the Brussels Capital Region and held the position of Head of International Business Development at Lineas. Johan's legal expertise was developed during tenure as Legal Counsel at NMBS/SNCB from June 2004 to April 2008. Johan holds multiple advanced management degrees from prestigious institutions, including Vlerick Business School, and a Master's in Law from KU Leuven, complemented by a Master's in European Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
