Evelyn Barnes

Evelyn Barnes is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in nonprofit and arts organizations. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at the New England Conservatory of Music since June 2024, Evelyn previously held CFO positions at Madison Park Development Corporation and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, managing significant operating budgets and overseeing a range of financial activities. Earlier roles include Executive Vice President and CFO at City Year, Inc., CFO and Treasurer at The Community Builders, Inc., and various leadership positions at YWCA Boston and the Los Angeles Community Design Center. Evelyn's career spans several decades, specializing in financial management, strategic planning, and organizational turnaround in complex environments. Evelyn holds a Master of Arts in Classics and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University, along with education from Trinity University.
