Kathryn Lopez

Kathryn "Kat" Lopez is an accomplished Creative & Marketing Manager at Santa Fe New Mexican since June 2013, where responsibilities include managing the Design and Creative Division and overseeing multimedia designers for the Advertising Department. Additionally, Kat coordinates numerous community and business partnerships, manages sponsorships, and oversees all promotional efforts. As a freelance Copywriter and Project Manager since February 2015, Kat has contributed to the creation of comprehensive cancer resource guides. Kat also serves as an Event Planner for the Ted S. Lopez Memorial Scholarship at the University of New Mexico Foundation, successfully establishing an endowed scholarship and organizing large-scale events. With roots in leadership and communications during time at Kansas State University and New Mexico State University, Kat has a Master's degree in Journalism & Mass Communications with a focus on Strategic Communication, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communications complemented by minors in Management and Marketing.
