Kay Ong

Kay Ong is a junior accountant at The New Press. Kay previously worked as a financial services consultant at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore from October 2020 to May 2021. There, they were responsible for planning and executing different client acquisition methods, providing thorough and proper financial planning advices to individuals, SMEs, and corporations, and providing after-sales services and executing client appreciation events. Kay also initiated a new program with their direct manager in the effort of reaching out to hawkers and SMEs for business insurance solutions. In February 2021, they were the top rookie in their agency among 30 new financial consultants and the top 13 producer in their group agency among over 100 financial consultants on sales productions. Kay also cleared the Fastrack production award as a new financial consultant by collecting more than S$22,500 in annual premiums.

Before working at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, Kay was a cabin attendant at Scoot from August 2018 to January 2020. Before that, they were a real estate sales agent at Eco World Development Group Berhad from December 2015 to December 2017.

Kay Ong has a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Lancaster University. Kay also has a Bachelor (Hons) in Communication in Public Relations Project Management from Sunway University. Kay has a Diploma in Mass Communication in Mass Communication from INTI International College Subang. Kay has a Secondary School certificate in Science Stream & Accounts from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Convent Kajang.
