Liza Featherstone is a prominent journalist and author with extensive experience in both writing and academia. Currently serving as a columnist for The New Republic and Jacobin Magazine since 2021 and 2019 respectively, Featherstone has contributed to various publications including The Nation, The New York Times, and Teen Vogue. An adjunct professor at Columbia University and New York University since 2010 and 2009 respectively, Featherstone has also held previous teaching positions at Brooklyn College and the Joseph S. Murphy Institute of Labor Studies. The author of three influential books, Featherstone's works include "Divining Desire: Focus Groups and the Culture of Consultation," "Selling Women Short: the Landmark Battle for Workers' Rights at Wal-Mart," and "Students Against Sweatshops." Featherstone's academic credentials include a Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Business and Economics Journalism from Columbia University.
