Mel West

Mel West is an experienced footwear and accessories design professional with a career spanning several prestigious companies in the fashion industry. Currently serving as a Course Instructor at the Parsons School of Design since August 2019, Mel has also held significant leadership roles, including Senior Design Director at Joe Fresh and Target, where responsibilities included managing design teams and overseeing the development of diverse footwear lines across multiple markets. Previous positions include Design Director at Sam Edelman and Esprit, and Vice President of Design at Ann Taylor, reflecting a strong track record in conceptualizing and executing successful collections. Mel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Visual Communications from Pratt Institute.
