Nika Simovich Fisher

Nika Simovich Fisher serves as the Program Director for AAS Communication Design and as an Assistant Professor of Communication Design at Parsons School of Design - The New School since January 2017, where Nika also holds a role as an Adjunct Professor. Additionally, Nika is a Board Member for the education workgroup at AIGA New York since June 2023 and has been a Partner and Creative Director at Labud, a graphic design and development studio in New York, since August 2018. Nika previously worked as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, teaching an introductory digital design course, and as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, focusing on experimental computation and design. Nika's background includes positions as a Senior Designer at Sweden Unlimited and a Graphic Designer and Art Director at Anna Sheffield Fine & Commitment Jewelry, as well as freelance graphic design work for kate spade new york and graphic and packaging design at Areaware. Nika earned a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design - The New School.
