Anika Banister

Anika Banister is an experienced editorial intern at The New York Review of Books, where Anika works closely with the NYRC Editor and contributes to art production and text layout. Anika also serves as an Art Bookseller at Strand Book Store, recommending art literature and maintaining the inventory. Previous roles include bookselling at Powell's Books, advocating for sexual health education at SHARE, and managing student admissions at Reed College. Anika has gained research experience in behavioral neuroscience and animal behavior, and taught climate change education to elementary students. Anika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Art Studies from Reed College.
