Agate Clerk at The News Tribune

James Peterson has over two decades of experience in media and library services. Currently, James serves as a Page at Tacoma Public Library System, responsible for managing book and media discharges and shelving. Since 2009, James has also worked as an Agate Clerk at Tacoma News Tribune, handling layout design and coordination with high school coaches. Prior experience includes a role as Sports Agate Clerk and Copy Editor at Seattle Post-Intelligencer, where James focused on editing and story formatting under tight deadlines. Earlier work as Program Manager for Gateways for Youth and Families involved overseeing a crisis line program and volunteer training. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Music from Western Washington University and an Applied Associate of the Arts in Video and Audio Production from The Art Institutes.
