Phil Clayton

Phil Clayton serves as Vice President of Signalling at Metrolinx, overseeing the delivery of signalling and communication systems for the GO Expansion programme since July 2024. Concurrently, Phil holds the position of Strategic Technical Advisor and Head of Integration Engineering at Transport for London, providing key strategic advice for the Piccadilly Line upgrade. Phil's extensive experience includes a tenure as Chief Engineer for Crossrail Ltd, leading the technical team in project close-out, and various senior roles at Network Rail, Thales Rail Signalling Solutions, and Tube Lines, among others. Phil earned a BEng (Hons) in Engineering from Warwick University between 1987 and 1990.
