Prof Bankole Sodipo SAN, FCArb, is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in arbitration and academia. As a Fellow of The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators since 2015, Prof Sodipo has also been a Partner at G.O. Sodipo and Co. since September 1987. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Editorial Advisory Board for the NBA Lagos Branch since 2021, Prof Sodipo holds director positions at Shelf Drilling and Weatherford Nigeria Ltd, both since 2011 and 2013, respectively. Academically, Prof Sodipo serves as a Professor and former Dean of Law at Babcock University since 2009. Prof Sodipo obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Queen Mary University of London between 1991 and 1995 and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Lagos.

The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) is the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria founded in 1979 under the leadership of former Attorney General of Nigeria and former judge of the World Court at The Hague, Judge Bola Ajibola, SAN, KBE and duly incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee. The Nigerian Institute’s mission is to promote the administration and development of arbitration and Alternative Dispute (ADR) practice in Nigeria with members drawn from diverse vocational backgrounds including the bar and the bench and other professions; Academia, Accounting, Banking, Construction, Engineering, Public Service and a host of others. Le Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) est le premier institut d'Arbitrage du Nigeria. Il a été fondé en 1979 sous la direction de l'ancien Procureur Général du Nigeria et ancien juge de la Cour Internationale de Justice à La Haye, le Juge Bola Ajibola, SAN, KBE, et a été dûment constitué en 1988 en vertu de la loi sur les sociétés (the Companies Act) comme une entité légale à responsabilité limitée par garantie.
