Robert Meyer

Director, Port Operations at The Northwest Seaport Alliance

Robert Meyer has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Robert is currently the Director of Port Operations at The Northwest Seaport Alliance, where they lead all port operations in the Port of Seattle and Tacoma. Robert is responsible for the North Intermodal yard, breakbulk operations, and serves as the operational military liaison for the Alliance. Prior to this, they worked as the Port Operations Manager at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, overseeing port operations throughout Australia and managing stakeholders to ensure productive and safe vessel calls. Robert also served as the Central Vessel Planner, coordinating cargoes and improving vessel utilization. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Second/Third Officer onboard US Flag Merchant Vessels at OSG Ship Management.

Robert Meyer attended the State University of New York Maritime College from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation/Business Administration.
