Tong Z has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They began their career as the Country Manager for Greater China for the State of Washington in 1999, a role they held for six years. In 2004, they transitioned to the Port of Seattle, where they served as the Director of International Relations until 2007. Tong Z then moved to the Port of Tacoma, where they held various positions including Director of Commercial Strategy from 2007 to 2010, Managing Director of the Commercial Group from 2010 to 2011, and finally Chief Commercial Officer from 2012 onwards. In 2017, Tong Z joined The Northwest Seaport Alliance as the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, where they currently work.
Tong Z has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the University of Washington.
