Richard Walker Obe

Richard Walker OBE FInstRE is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in military and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive of The Not Forgotten since September 2022, Richard focuses on alleviating loneliness and isolation among wounded and injured service personnel and veterans. Prior roles include Head of Engineering at AWE, where Richard led a team of 1,000 engineers, and Director of the Strategic Interoperability Programme for the British Army, overseeing international relations. Richard's military experience includes commanding various units in the Royal Engineers, contributing to UN missions, and consulting for NATO on Afghan military development. An alumnus of numerous prestigious institutions, Richard holds advanced degrees in strategic management, defence, and leadership.
