Bas Maase

Bas Maase currently serves as the Head of Oceans partnerships at The Ocean Cleanup, where Bas is responsible for managing partnerships to support the cleanup of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Prior to this, Bas worked at Shell Chemicals Europe B.V. as the Sustainability Manager Europe, focusing on sustainability initiatives and plastics recycling. Bas has also held various roles at Shell International B.V. and Qatar Shell GTL Limited, involving new business development and public affairs. Bas holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Leiden University.
