Jean-Yves Munch

Jean-Yves Munch is a seasoned professional in sound engineering and production, serving as a Senior Lecturer at The Ohio State University since August 2022. With extensive freelance experience as a Production Sound Mixer since August 2018 and a Location Sound Mixer for Félix & Paul Studios since June 2016, Munch has contributed to notable VR films including "Space Explorers" and "Myiubi." As a Recording Engineer for the Grand Rapids Symphony since 2005, Munch has been involved in recording and mixing various classical performances. The ownership of International Sound Services, Inc. since January 2000 highlights Munch's expertise in location audio mixing and sound design for diverse media. Additionally, Munch served as Curator for the Immersion Experience at the Société des arts technologiques in Montréal from 2016 to 2022 and was a Recording Arts Instructor at Hope College from 2011 to 2022. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Sound from the École nationale supérieure Louis Lumière from 1983 to 1985.
