John Swartz

John Swartz is an accomplished philanthropic adviser with extensive experience in development and alumni relations, currently serving as Chief Development Officer at The Ohio State University since May 2013. Prior roles include Director of Development at Wellington School, where John directed comprehensive fundraising programs and strategic initiatives, and Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Methodist Theological School in Ohio, supervising all development activities and alumni relations. Early experience encompasses a Development Officer role at the University of Michigan and Coordinator of Stewardship and Special Projects at Radcliffe College, contributing to success in annual giving campaigns and donor engagement. John holds an MDiv in Theology from Boston University School of Theology and a BA in Sociology from The Ohio State University, complemented by training in grant writing.
