Wondwossen Gebreyes

Wondwossen Gebreyes is an esteemed academic and leader in global health and veterinary medicine, currently serving as a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Program committee at the International Livestock Research Institute since May 2024. Wondwossen is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the Fogarty International Center at NIH and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine. As President of Ohio State Global One Health, Wondwossen holds several significant positions at The Ohio State University, including Executive Director of Global One Health and Professor of Molecular Epidemiology. Previous notable roles include fellowships at Michigan State University and the American Council on Education, as well as various academic positions at North Carolina State University. Wondwossen holds a D.V.M. from Addis Ababa University, a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University, and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine.
