Tom Leue has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Tom served as the President of Homestead Inc., where they oversaw two divisions focused on engineering services related to Massachusetts Title 5 regulations. Tom then worked for the Town of Ashfield as a Superintendent, where they developed and operated a solar municipal sewage treatment plant for five years. Currently, the plant is still in daily operation. Additionally, Tom Leue served as the Energy Manager for the City of Northampton. In this role, they evaluated and implemented energy conservation projects across various city properties, including schools, City Hall, and fire stations. Tom'sprojects included lighting, window replacement, heating system maintenance, hydro-electric projects, biogas production, streetlight renovations, and grant writing.
Tom Leue attended Milne High School from 1961 to 1965, where they studied Science. After completing high school, they enrolled in Antioch College from 1965 to 1971. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Ecology. Additionally, Tom obtained several certifications, including Oil Burner Technician in 2010, Registered Sanitarian in 2004, Approved Soil Evaluator in 1997, Title 5 System Inspector in 1995, and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in 1990. All of these certifications were obtained from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
