Jordan David LaFlure

Jordan David LaFlure is an American journalist and editor. Jordan is the managing editor of The Onion, America's leading satirical newspaper.

LaFlure began their career in journalism as a design intern at The St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 2007. Jordan was later promoted to page designer at The Indianapolis Star, where they worked for the sports section. In 2009, they left The Star to join American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as a page production assistant. Jordan coordinated production for AAOS Now, a monthly publication, and managed medical photos for various print products, including textbooks, pamphlets, and newsletters.

In 2011, LaFlure left AAOS to join Movepak.com as creative manager. However, they left Movepak after just four months to join LinkShare as a marketing communications specialist. Jordan remained with LinkShare until May 2011 when they joined The Onion as managing editor.

Jordan David LaFlure graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Journalism in journalism. Jordan then went on to Ball State University to complete their education.

Jordan David LaFlure reports to Chad Nackers, Editor in Chief. and Mike Gillis - Head Writer reports to Jordan David LaFlure. They work with Danny Mulligan - Senior Editor, Samantha Hungerford - Deputy Managing Editor, and Devin Schiff - Features Editor.
