Abhay Sampath

Abhay Sampath has a diverse range of work experience spanning different industries. Abhay started their career as a Research Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology, where they worked on the design and simulation of modular morphogenetic robots. This research was funded by Honda Research Institute-Europe and resulted in publications.

Following this, Abhay joined LGS Innovations as an Electrical Engineer in the Agile Sensing Networks Group. Abhay was involved in assembling, testing, and coding data collection systems for drones and UAVs, utilizing embedded C++.

Abhay then joined Interactive Brokers as a Senior Application Developer. In this role, they were responsible for implementing the Stock Award program, including the tracking of vesting based on customer deposits. Abhay also played a key role in upgrading the Contract Archive service, developing APIs for downstream teams and implementing database architecture using Java and SQL.

Currently, Abhay works as a Software Engineer at The Orchard. Further details about their role and responsibilities are not provided.

Abhay Sampath pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, which spanned from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they continued their education at the same institute and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2010 to 2012. Later, in 2021, Abhay enrolled at Columbia Engineering, where they completed a Graduate Certificate in UI/UX Design in 2022.
