Gretchen Ratzlaff has extensive experience in the field of quality and risk management. Gretchen most recently served as the Director of Quality & Risk Management at The Oregon Clinic starting in October 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Risk Management at Steward Health Care from February 2020 to October 2020. From July 2017 to February 2020, they worked as a Quality/ Risk Manager at IASIS Healthcare. Additionally, they worked as a Risk Management Coordinator at University of Utah Health from July 2010 to July 2017.

Gretchen Ratzlaff has an extensive education history. Gretchen pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology from the University of Idaho from 1989 to 1992. Gretchen furthered their education at the University of Puget Sound, where they studied English Language and Literature/Letters from 1987 to 1992. In 1994, Gretchen enrolled in the University of Utah and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse by 1997. Gretchen then pursued a Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration at the same university, which they obtained in 2004.

In addition to their academic achievements, Gretchen Ratzlaff has also obtained a certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) from the American Hospital Association in July 2015.
