Edmund Kwok

Edmund Kwok is a highly experienced medical professional with extensive expertise in emergency medicine and quality improvement. Currently serving as the Medical Director of Quality & Patient Safety and a Staff Physician at The Ottawa Hospital since July 2011, Edmund Kwok also holds the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine since October 2021. Additionally, Edmund Kwok is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa and a Clinician Investigator at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. With a strong academic background, Edmund Kwok obtained a Master's in Health Administration from the Telfer School of Management and completed medical residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Prior to achieving these roles, Edmund Kwok garnered experience as Director of Operational Performance & Evaluation and as a Sessional Lecturer in Health Administration. Edmund Kwok's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Medical Genetics and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology & Genetics from The University of British Columbia, as well as a Doctor of Medicine from Queen's University.
