Tuba Aktas

Tuba Aktas is an experienced professional in the field of psychology and counseling, currently serving as an Associate Therapist at Kanata Psychology and Counselling Centre since September 2024. Tuba is also a Clinical Practicum Student and a Graduate Research Assistant, as well as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa since September 2023. In the healthcare sector, Tuba has held the position of Behaviour Therapist at Queensway Carleton Hospital focusing on geriatrics since December 2022, and has worked at The Ottawa Hospital since May 2021, specializing in acquired brain injury. Previous experience includes serving as a Behaviour Therapist at ABA Connections Inc., where Tuba worked with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental challenges from April 2019 to April 2021. Tuba is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa, having previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Orange Coast College.
