Patrick D. McDermott

Patrick D. McDermott is a seasoned multimedia editor currently working at Oxford American Magazine since December 2022. McDermott has a diverse background in writing and editing, including serving as a senior editor at The FADER from September 2012 to August 2018, where responsibilities included pitching, reporting, and editing cover stories and long-form features. Previous teaching roles at the University of North Carolina Wilmington involved instructing creative writing classes and creating lesson plans. McDermott holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College.
