Ben Strauss-Malcolm has a diverse and extensive work experience in the art industry. Ben started their career as an Educational Intern at the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego in 2004. From there, they became an Associate Director at Quint Contemporary Art in 2005. In 2006, they joined Quint Gallery, where they held the role of Director/Dealer for ten years. During their time at Quint Gallery, they excelled in sales and placement of contemporary artwork, increased business revenue, managed relationships with artists, curated numerous exhibitions, and built diversified art collections for collectors. Ben also played a key role in the establishment and funding of the Contemporary Art Fund and represented the gallery in various art fairs. In 2016, they joined Pace Gallery, starting as a Director and working their way up to Senior Director before becoming Vice President in December 2022. At Pace Gallery, they continue to contribute to the strategic and creative development of the gallery, manage relationships with artists and clients, and oversee lease negotiations and new gallery spaces. Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated highly effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ben Strauss-Malcolm attended Union College from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Their areas of study included Fine Art, Art History, and Psychology.
