Jack MacDowell

Jack Macdowell, Jr., CFA, currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Palisades Group since August 2012. Previously, Jack held the position of Independent Board Trustee at Vertical Capital Income Fund from August 2020 to July 2023, where Jack was nominated by an activist investor group, and participated in a strategic transaction with Carlyle. Prior experience includes tenure as Chief Investment Officer at Carrington Capital Management (July 2009 - August 2012), Portfolio Manager at Old Hill Partners (March 2008 - June 2009), and Head of Capital Markets, Structuring & Analytics at Carrington Capital Management, LLC (January 2005 - December 2007). Jack's earlier roles include Vice President at Royal Bank of Canada, a position in the Asset Securitization Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, and Senior Financial Analyst at AMRESCO. Jack holds a degree from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
