Prof. Dr. Bernd Meyer

Prof. Dr. Bernd Meyer currently serves as Chief Strategist and Head of Multi Asset at Berenberg since October 2017 and also manages the Berenberg Variato portfolio. In addition, Meyer holds the position of Honorary Professor for Empirical Research in Finance - Theory and Practice at Universität Trier since October 2014. Previously, Meyer was Managing Director and Head of Cross Asset Strategy at Commerzbank AG from March 2010 to September 2017 and Managing Director, Head of Pan-European Equity Strategy at Deutsche Bank from February 1998 to June 2009, focusing on European equity markets and portfolio construction. Earlier academic experience includes serving as Wissenschaftlicher Assistent at Universität Konstanz from 1993 to 1997. Meyer earned a PhD in Finance from the University of Konstanz and a Diplom in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
