Asha Ali

Asha Ali is an experienced professional in cybersecurity and information technology, currently serving as a Senior Officer in Cybersecurity and Governance at The People's Bank of Zanzibar Limited since August 2023. Previously, Asha held the role of Senior ICT Officer at the President Office, Finance and Planning from June 2022 to August 2023, and worked as the Principal CEO at Prime Spring Technologies from September 2021 to June 2023. Asha's career also includes positions as a Training Officer in Information Technology at The State University of Zanzibar from November 2015 to July 2022, a Tutorial Assistant at zifa from September 2009 to July 2017, and teaching roles at Haile Sellassie Secondary School and Darajani Primary School. Asha holds a Master of Computer Applications in Information Security Management Services from Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a focus on accounting from Zanzibar Institute of Financial Administration. Early education was completed at Haile Sellassie Secondary School, culminating in an O Level Certificate in Physical Sciences.
