Emily Petoskey is a seasoned philanthropy professional with extensive experience in non-profit organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Philanthropy Officer and Engagement Manager at The Phoenix since March 2020, Emily has previously held positions such as Foundation Coordinator at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and Development Associate at the American Indian College Fund. Additionally, early experience includes an internship focusing on the Indian Child Welfare Act at Metropolitan State University of Denver and a role as Program Coordinator at the Indigenous Law & Policy Center at MSU College of Law. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from Michigan State University.

The Phoenix is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from a substance use disorder and for those who choose to live sober. By participating in our physical, social and educational programs, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. Activities offered include CrossFit, climbing, hiking, boxing, running, yoga, road & mountain biking, and strength training. Through traditional fundraising strategies and revenue-generating ventures, Phoenix is able to provide free programs for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety.
