Emeric Viani

Arts Department Chair at The Pike School

Emeric Viani serves as the Arts Department Chair and Lower School Music Teacher at The Pike School since September 2014, directing various music ensembles and designing inclusive music lessons. As President and Artistic Director of Gamelan Anak Tika since June 2016, Emeric promotes traditional Balinese music and dance for youth. A dedicated private piano instructor since September 2009, Emeric also manages Gamelan Galak Tika, overseeing administrative tasks and event organization. Previous roles include conductor positions with the Boston Children's Chorus and teaching music in middle and elementary schools. Emeric holds dual M.A. degrees in Music Education and Ethnomusicology, as well as a B.M. in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music.

The Pike School

The Pike School is an independent, coeducational day school located on 35 woodland acres in Andover, Massachusetts. Its comprehensive and sequential program provides education to students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 9. Small class size and individual attention allow for social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the students within the context of the school community. The Pike School history extends back to 1926 when Cynthia E. Pike started educating six students in her home.
