Liz Foster-Shaner

Liz Foster-Shaner is an experienced arts educator and equity and inclusion consultant with a career spanning various roles in the arts and education sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Arts Education at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Liz has also held positions as a Manager of School and Community Programs and Teaching Artist. Previous roles include Executive Director of TOPittsburgh, where Liz led initiatives using theatre for social justice, and Equity and Inclusion Consultant for Inclusant and DLJ & Associates, focusing on diversity training and organizational culture assessment. Liz’s earlier experience includes recruitment and volunteer program coordination at Napa County Office of Education, as well as teaching and facilitation roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Girls Leadership Institute. Liz holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Theatre and Drama from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
