Michelle M. has a broad range of work experience in the field of mental health and program development. Michelle started their career at the University of Pittsburgh as a Research Interviewer and then transitioned to the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where they became a Research Project Assistant and eventually a Research Coordinator. Michelle later joined the National Institute of Mental Health as a Public Reviewer. Michelle then worked at Mental Health America Allegheny County, first as a Training Programs Coordinator and later as the Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, they have been with The Pittsburgh Foundation, starting as a Senior Program Officer and progressing to the position of Director of Grantmaking. Currently, Michelle holds the position of Vice President of Program and Community Engagement at The Pittsburgh Foundation.

Michelle M. started their education in 1999 when they enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh. Michelle pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and completed their studies in 2003. After taking a brief break, Michelle returned to the University of Pittsburgh in 2004 to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, which they successfully obtained in 2007. Their field of study during their MSW program was Social Work.
