Mark Hilverda

Mark Hilverda is an accomplished digital specialist with extensive experience in planetary science communication, web design, and project management. Since June 2013, Mark has been with The Planetary Society, focusing on educating and empowering others through digital mediums and managing website content. Mark has also served as the Planetary Sciences Section Web Manager for the American Geophysical Union since 2010, overseeing website design and social media integration. As the founder of Varve Studios, Mark has developed web solutions for science and technology communication. Mark's previous roles include hydrogeological and atmospheric science research at Conestoga-Rovers & Associates and project management at Lakes Environmental Software, showcasing a strong background in environmental sciences. Mark holds a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences - Hydrogeology and a B.A. in Classical Studies from the University of Waterloo.
