Kara Matzko

Kara Matzko has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Kara began their career in 1998 as an Assistant Director of Business Development & Strategy at the Virginia Port Authority. In 2001, they joined CMA CGM as a Procurement Manager. Kara then moved on to P&O Nedlloyd in 2002, where they worked as an Export Customer Service representative. In 2004, Kara joined The Port of Virginia as an Assistant General Manager, holding this position until 2014. Kara then became the Mid-Atlantic Area Manager at the same company from 2015 to 2022. Most recently, they took on the role of Director of Strategic Accounts at The Port of Virginia in May 2022. Kara Matzko's diverse experience in different roles within the maritime industry demonstrates their strong knowledge and expertise in this field.

Kara Matzko obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Operations Management/Statistics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Kara attended this institution from 1992 to 1996.
