Stephen Griffin

Stephen Griffin has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Stephen began their career in 1994 as a Financial Analyst at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Stephen then worked as a Controller/Business Manager at Dixie Manufacturing Corporation from 1995 to 2001. Following this, they joined Abacus Communications, LC as a Corporate Controller from 2000 to 2002.

In 2002, Stephen became the Chief Financial Officer at Supreme Foods, Inc. and held this position until 2006. Stephen then joined Lindab Inc. as the Vice President of Finance/CFO, where they worked for a decade until 2016.

Afterward, Stephen worked as the Corporate Controller at CMA CGM from 2016 to 2017, followed by a role as the Interim Chief Financial Officer/Corporate Controller at Lombart Instrument from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Accounting at The Port of Virginia since December 2019.

Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated expertise in finance and accounting, working in various leadership positions in both large and small organizations.

Stephen Griffin completed their education, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from William & Mary in 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Fordham University, which they attended from 1985 to 1989. Stephen also studied Accounting at Saint Francis University in 1984 and 1985. In addition to their degrees, they are certified as a Public Accountant by the VBOA (Virginia Board of Accountancy), which they obtained in December 2013.
