Luke Matys is an experienced educator and program manager with a diverse background in civic education and community engagement. Currently serving as an Educator/Advisor II at The Possible Zone since August 2023, Luke previously worked at Discovering Justice as a Program Manager overseeing Mock Trial programs for grades 5-8, where responsibilities included volunteer recruitment and relationship-building with schools. Luke contributed to the development of Youth in Front, an initiative supporting student activism, and served as a Research Assistant at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, focusing on civic education assessments. Earlier roles include Community Service Director and educator at Nativity Preparatory School, where Luke designed a school-wide community service program and mentored first-year teachers. Luke holds a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from St. Lawrence University.
